Brazil Agency - The Paraíba Court determined this Tuesday (12) the suspension of influencer Hytalo Santos' profiles on social media. The measure also interrupts the monetization of the channels and prohibits him from having contact with minors.

The decision was prompted by a lawsuit filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office after influencer Felca denounced profiles that use children and teenagers to promote the adultification of children.

In addition to the precautionary measures, Hytalo Santos is also being investigated for exposing adolescents to sexually suggestive content.

Following the case's repercussions, the National Congress mobilized to approve measures against the exposure of minors.

Earlier, the Chamber of Deputies decided to create a working group to draft a bill to combat the adultification of children and adolescents on social media.

One of the proposed texts as the basis for the new legislation is Bill 2.628 of 2022, authored by Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE). The bill requires social media companies to create mechanisms to prevent content that eroticizes children. The text provides for fines for platforms of up to 10% of the company's revenue for noncompliance with the legislation.
