Representing Gambia, Jainaba Sanko, from QTV Gambia, highlighted structural advancements in the education sector as the foundation for the country's development. According to her, "changes in education policy led by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology have ensured improvements in school infrastructure and the creation of universities." In addressing global challenges, Sanko also emphasized the need for greater accountability from developed countries in climate finance: “We need to strengthen cooperation on climate change. Rich countries must pay.”
From Indonesia, Gerard Ratnam of Bernama TV highlighted regional cooperation as a central axis for addressing economic and social challenges. He stated that "it is necessary to strengthen cooperation within ASEAN and dream beyond, deepening trade exchange on platforms like BRICS." Ratnam also emphasized the gap between the formulation and implementation of public policies, affirming that "we need more efforts to ensure policies reach the people."
The Latin American perspective was presented by Leonardo Sobreira, from Brasil 247, who highlighted the importance of regional solutions before expanding global partnerships. According to him, "from a Latin American perspective, it's a regional problem first. We have to identify regional value chains and then move on to international partnerships." Sobreira also advocated for deepening cooperation between countries of the Global South, stating that "cooperation must be more profound, going further, thinking about de-dollarization and also in the area of defense."
