Spray banned by Anvisa is being sold by a company targeted by the Covid CPI.
Belcher Farmacêutica acted as an intermediary in negotiations for the acquisition of vaccine doses, but the agreement was not finalized.
247 - The Israeli nasal spray Taffix, whose registration was canceled by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), is marketed in Brazil by Belcher Farmacêutica, a company that came under scrutiny from the Covid CPI in the Senate last year.
The company emerged during the investigation by the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into Covid-19 because it acted as an intermediary in talks between the Chinese laboratory CanSino and the Ministry of Health for the acquisition of 60 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine Convidecia.
The contract would have cost approximately R$ 5 billion, and each dose would have cost US$ 17, one of the highest prices offered to the federal government. The deal ultimately fell through.
