247 - Bolsonaro's supporters in Congress are trying to pass a legislative decree aimed at suspending the decision by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) that reinstated the mandatory use of masks on airplanes and in airports to contain the spread of Covid-19 cases across the country.

According to the journalist's column Laura JardimAccording to O Globo, the text of the decree is signed by congressmen Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), Luiz Philippe de Orleans e Bragança (PL-SP), Bia Kicis (PL-DF), Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ) and Dr. Luiz Ovando (PP-MS). 

"In justifying the need for the decree, Eduardo Bolsonaro cited the vote of Daniel Pereira, director of Anvisa, who last week was outvoted by his colleagues for recommending only the use of face masks, not making them mandatory," the report emphasizes. 

According to G1On Monday (29), Brazil registered 116 new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching 689.717 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. The moving average of deaths in the last 7 days is 71, a growth of 155% compared to the previous 7 days, representing an upward trend for the 9th day in a row. It is also the fifth day in a row that the average of known cases is above 20 new daily cases.
