247 - President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said this Thursday (1), the day on which World AIDS Day is celebrated, that Brazil will once again be a reference for the world in prevention policies and care for HIV-positive people.

Lula responded to a tweet from Vice President-elect Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), who on his Twitter account recalled the date and the efforts of "governments and civil society working for prevention, testing, combating stigmatization and access to adequate treatment," and about the commitment of the Lula government to maintain this policy.
