Brazil surpasses France in deaths and now has almost 500 cases of coronavirus.
São Paulo remains the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, concentrating the highest number of deaths (7.532). The state is followed by Rio de Janeiro (5.277), Ceará (2.956), Pará (2.900) and Pernambuco (2.740).
Brazil Agency - Brazil recorded 956 new deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 28.834. This represents a 3,4% increase compared to yesterday (29), when 27.878 deaths caused by the disease were recorded. The numbers were released in the early evening today (30), in the Ministry of Health's report.
The statistics included 33.274 new people infected with the novel coronavirus, bringing the total confirmed cases to 498.440. This represents a 7,2% increase compared to yesterday, when the number of infected people was 465.166.
Of the total confirmed cases, 268.714 (53,9%) are under monitoring and 200.892 (40,3%) patients have recovered. There are also 3.862 deaths under investigation.

In terms of confirmed cases, the states with the highest number of cases are São Paulo (107.642), Rio de Janeiro (52.420), Ceará (46.056), Amazonas (40.560), and Pará (37.296). Other states with high numbers of infected people include Pernambuco (33.427), Maranhão (32.620), Bahia (17.626), Espírito Santo (13.437), and Paraíba (12.862).
