247 - This Thursday (20), the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) is expected to analyze the request for emergency use of the CoronaVac vaccine against Covid-19 in children and adolescents aged 3 to 17 years.

This is the second request made by the Butantan Institute, whose first request was denied due to lack of documentation.

In a press conference this Wednesday (19), Governor João Doria (PSDB) said that Butantan has 15 million doses of CoronaVac ready for use. Of these, 12 million are reserved for children aged 3 to 11. “Having approval from Anvisa, São Paulo will immediately begin vaccinating children in this age group,” said Doria.
