Paraná News Agency - The State Secretary for Family and Social Development, Fernanda Richa, participated this Wednesday (04/09) in a meeting in Brasília (DF) to discuss the national pact for improving the management of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS). The objective of the meeting is to strengthen the commitment of the states in guaranteeing social protection services to families.
"The management of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) was stagnant in the state. But, since we took over, we have managed to advance in many areas and meet several goals established by the national pact," said Fernanda Richa, during the meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and state managers.
The secretary spoke about the process of creating the state management body; the implementation of regional offices; the expansion of the social assistance workforce; and the investments made in the state plan for training professionals working in the area. She also explained the fund-to-fund transfer, a pioneering initiative in the country, which allows the transfer of resources to municipalities for application in basic and special social protection services.
"With this vision, the state government created a strategy to stimulate social development. The new guideline allowed for the allocation of a larger volume of resources," highlighted Fernanda Richa.
The Secretariat for Family and Social Development has expanded its scope of action, investments, and initiatives aimed at empowering families in situations of risk and social vulnerability. In two and a half years, more than R$ 430 million has been invested in social assistance policies and in guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents.
