247 - The Secretariat for Women and Racial Equality of Paraná will be headed on an interim basis by a white man, Rogério Carboni, appointed by Governor Ratinho Jr. (PSD).

Carboni is already the Secretary of Social Development and Family and also holds the interim position of head of the Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship.

According to an official statement, the governor "is already deciding who will take over the secretariat, and it will be a woman."

Carboni's appointment was necessary to move forward with bureaucratic matters in the new secretariats, which were separated from the Secretariat of Justice, Family and Labor (Sejuf).

The secretariats will have their heads announced in the coming days, the Iguaçu Palace informed. The first announcement should be of the name of the woman who will head the Secretariat for Women and Racial Equality, on Monday (15).

The appointment, even though it is temporary, has generated criticism. The president of the PT (Workers' Party), congresswoman Gleisi Hoffmann, said on Twitter that the decision shows "zero commitment to the struggle of women and black people in institutional and political representation."

Angela Alves Machado (Psol), who was a candidate for governor of the state, said that Carboni's nomination "is a mockery of the struggle of women and black people."
