Governor Beto Richa (PSDB), who is seeking re-election, is likely to face the following "fragmented" scenario:

1 – Gleisi Hoffmann (PT): should attract PDT and PCdoB to the coalition.

2 – Roberto Requião (PMDB): is expected to present a ticket with a vice-presidential candidate and a senator from the party.

3 – Eduardo Sciarra (PSD): is expected to head his own candidacy.

4 – Rosane Ferreira (PV): purebred candidate.

5 – Silvio Barros II (PHS): brother of the Secretary of Industry and Commerce, Ricardo Barros; could attract PROS and PP.

The "dispersion" of voters is a tactic to ensure a second round of voting takes place.
