247 - The first death from coronavirus in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and also in the southern region of the country, was confirmed by the city hall of Porto Alegre, this Wednesday (25). The case has not yet been officially confirmed by the Ministry of Health. The information is from the portal G1.
The mayor of Porto Alegre, Nelson Marchezan Júnior, lamented: "We have reached a sad point."
"We should start counting the virus contamination by the number of people in the ICU. There were nine confirmed cases and 26 suspected cases. As of today, we have the first death, which is another number that becomes part of our monitoring," says Marchezan.
The deceased victim is a 91-year-old woman who was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hospital Moinhos de Vento.
