According to Richa, Paraná "overcame the financial crisis."

After a first semester under strong pressure from public employees due to the fiscal adjustment package, Governor Beto Richa (PSDB) stated that "thanks to the fiscal adjustment and spending cuts we implemented at the beginning of the year, Paraná will be one of the first states in the country to overcome the crisis. These measures have allowed Paraná to achieve a more balanced situation today." Despite Richa's celebration, the state Secretary of Finance, Mauro Ricardo Costa, had said that the local financial crisis is not a result of poor national economic performance, but rather of errors committed by the state government itself.

Paraná 247 – After a first semester under strong pressure from public employees due to the fiscal adjustment package, Governor Beto Richa (PSDB) stated that the state of Paraná "overcame the crisis".

On Facebook, the politician said on Monday (17) that "thanks to the fiscal adjustment and spending cuts that we promoted at the beginning of the year, Paraná will be one of the first states in the country to overcome the crisis. The measures allowed Paraná to achieve a more balanced situation today."

"With hard work and determination, we are currently experiencing a great cycle of industrialization and strengthening of agribusiness. Evidence of this is that Paraná is the state that generated the most jobs in the country in the first five months of 2015," he added. "Despite the national crisis, Paraná continues to move forward, with more investments in all areas."

Despite Richa's celebration, the state finance secretary, Mauro Ricardo Costa, had said in March of this year that the local financial crisis is not a result of poor national economic performance, but rather of errors committed by the state government itself, such as overestimating the prepared budgets and changes made to the civil servants' pension system.
