Onyx attacks Eduardo Leite with homophobic statement in advertisement.
The former minister made a homophobic statement in the election advertisement broadcast this Thursday.
247 - “Former minister Onyx Lorenzoni, a Bolsonaro-backed candidate for governor of Rio Grande do Sul, made a homophobic statement to attack his opponent, Eduardo Leite, in the election advertisement broadcast this Thursday (13) on the local radio network,” reports journalist Guilherme Amado in his column on the Metrópoles portal.
"The people of Rio Grande do Sul understand that, if it is God's will and the will of the people of Rio Grande do Sul, they will have a true governor and first lady, who are ordinary people with a mission to serve and transform the lives of the people of Rio Grande do Sul for the better," Lorenzoni stated.
"The expression 'real first lady' is a reference to the fact that Leite came out as gay in an interview with journalist Pedro Bial in July of last year. The governor of Rio Grande do Sul is dating the doctor Thalis Bolzan," reports the journalist.
