Mujica: "Our struggle is not just for democracy. It's for another civilization."
Former Uruguayan President José "Pepe" Mujica participated this Wednesday, the 27th, in the seminar "Democracy in Latin America" in Curitiba; he told young people that democracy, for them, will not impose limits, as it will be digital; and he argued that "this struggle is not for democracy," but for "another civilization"; "Economic growth is only justified if it is at the service of human beings, of all human beings," he added.
Paraná 247 – Current senator and former president of Uruguay, José "Pepe" Mujica, participated this Wednesday morning, the 27th, in the seminar "Democracy in Latin America," at the Military Circle of Paraná, in Curitiba.
In his presentation, he stated that "our struggle is not for democracy. Our struggle is for a new civilization." To the young people, he said that democracy will have no limits, because it will be digital.
"Economic growth is only justified if it serves humanity, all human beings," Pepe Mujica added. The event featured shouts from the audience against the governor of Paraná, Beto Richa, and against the coup.
