Tucano massacre becomes a 'confrontation' in Veja and Época
In an undisguised attempt to protect the PSDB governments, Veja and Época magazines published, on their websites, this Wednesday (29), almost identical headlines about the attacks by the Police of the Beto Richa (PSDB) government against teachers, in Curitiba. The two publications, instead of reporting the facts as they are really happening in Paraná, transformed the massacre that the PM is carrying out against the public servants into a "confrontation"; how is it possible to speak of a confrontation when only one side, in this case the police, has the equipment for the attacks?
247 - In an undisguised attempt to protect the PSDB governments, Veja and Época magazines published, on their websites, this Wednesday (29), almost identical headlines about the attacks by the Police of the Beto Richa (PSDB) government against teachers, in Curitiba. The two publications, instead of reporting the facts as they are really happening in Paraná, transformed the massacre that the PM is carrying out against the public servants into a "confrontation".
The euphemism used in both cases (as can be seen in the images) attempts to create a different picture of reality. This Wednesday, the pitched battle against the confiscation promoted by Governor Beto Richa (PSDB) left more than 100 injured, about 20 in serious condition. Under the command of the State Secretary of Security, Fernando Francischini (SDD), the Shock Battalion threw tear gas bombs and rubber bullets, even using helicopters, against the public servants.
