Londrina elects one state representative and retains three federal representatives.
Only Tercílio Turini (PPS) was re-elected to the Legislative Assembly with a total of 47.023 votes, while Alex Canziani (PTB) and Luiz Carlos Hauly (PSDB) were re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies – the newcomer is Marcelo Belinati (PP).
Meire Bicudo, Paraná News - Londrina, the second largest city and second largest electoral college in the state, failed to elect more than one state representative and retain its three federal representatives. Londrina lagged behind, for example, the Cascavel region in the west of the state, which had five elected representatives, equaling Maringá.
Another striking fact was the poor performance of the city councilors. Of the seven who ran for office, six for state representative and one for federal representative, none were elected. The most voted candidate was Lenir de Assis (PT) with 13.425 votes, followed by the president of the Legislative Assembly, Rony Alves (PTB) with 10.228. The vice-president of the House, Gustavo Richa (PHS) with 10.185 votes, Emanoel Gomes (PRB), with 6.801 votes, José Roque Neto, known as Padre Roque (PR), who obtained 6.660 votes, and Gaúcho Tamarrado (PDT), who received fewer votes than in the election for city councilor (2.742 votes compared to 3.416 in 2012), also did not succeed. For the federal Chamber of Deputies, councilor Mário Takahashi (PV) obtained 12.634 votes and finished ninth in his coalition.
This is the third consecutive election in which the city councilors have failed to get re-elected. The last time they were successful was in the 2012 elections, when André Vargas, then with the PT (Workers' Party), and Elza Correia (PMDB) were elected to the Assembly.
Region – In the Londrina region, the candidates had better luck. Thiago Amaral (PSB) from Cambé (16 km from Londrina), son of the State Court of Auditors advisor, Durval Amaral, and Cobra Repórter (PSC) from Rolândia (24 km from Londrina), presenter of RIC Londrina, were elected due to the surge in votes for Ratinho Junior.
