247 - A man died after attempting to assassinate councilwoman Cleres Maria Cavalheiro Revelante (PT) in Salto do Jacuí (RS) and losing control of the car he was driving.
According to reports, farmer Luiz Carlos Ottoni "attempted to kill" Cleres Maria because she was in a car with a Lula sticker.
Public safety officers were called and pursued the assailant, who crashed and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene.
On Facebook, the councilwoman stated: "Everything is fine... We are okay! God protected us! Very sad! Nervous, scared by all this! It didn't have to be like this."
