Federal Government authorizes community radio stations in Paraná.
With President Dilma Rousseff's approval, the National Congress now has 60 days to approve these authorizations so that Community Associations can put their radio stations into operation; if parliamentarians do not vote within this period, the radio stations can send an official letter to the Ministry of Communications.
Meire Bicudo, Paraná News - The President of the Republic, Dilma Rousseff, sent to the National Congress last Wednesday (23), the authorizations granted to seven community radio stations in Paraná in the cities of Alto Paraíso, Mercedes, Campina da Lagoa, Cruzeiro do Sul, Três Barras, Foz do Iguaçu and Fernandes Pinheiro. The authorization is for a period of 10 years.
With the presidential message, the National Congress now has 60 days to approve these authorizations so that Community Associations can put their stations into operation. If parliamentarians do not vote on the authorizations within this period, the Associations can send an official letter to the Ministry of Communications informing them of their operating hours in order to obtain authorization to put their radio stations on the air.

- Associação Comunitária Cultural 13 de Setembro, in the municipality of Mercedes – PR;
– Community Association of Campina da Lagoa, in the municipality of Campina da Lagoa – PR;
- Cultural Association of Cruzeiro do Sul Paraná - ACCS, in the municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul – PR;
– Padroeira Association, in the municipality of Três Barras do Paraná – PR;
– Cultural Association for Community Communication of the Eastern Region of Foz do Iguaçu – PR, in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu – PR;
- Social Communication Association of Fernandes Pinheiro, in the municipality of Fernandes Pinheiro – PR.
