The government of Paraná presents its budget for 2016.

Paraná 247 - The Paraná government presented the draft Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) for 2016 to state deputies on Wednesday (15). The Executive's forecast is that the state's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow by 3% next year. For this year, the estimated growth is 1%, lower than the 4,5% initially projected.

The state's total revenue is expected to reach R$ 41,7 billion, with R$ 39,5 billion coming from the State Treasury. Net revenue is projected at R$ 31,9 billion. The government's spending plan outlines a deficit of R$ 2,8 billion in state accounts.

Personnel expenses alone are expected to generate costs of R$ 17,8 million, according to government estimates. The administration also estimates allocating R$ 8 billion to Education. For Health, the projected allocation is R$ 3,237 billion. R$ 392,5 million is expected to be transferred to the Science and Technology sector.
