Gleisi: 'We cannot underestimate the administrative machinery. The election will be tough.'

247 - The national president of the PT, federal deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PR), highlighted that the party cannot underestimate the possibility of Jair Bolsonaro's growth in the polls.
"We believe Bolsonaro will still rise. We do not underestimate the administrative machine," she stated. "It will be a tough election. It will depend on the number of third-way candidates, but in none of our administrations have we won in the first round," she added. Her account was published this Wednesday (23) by Panel column.
According to the congresswoman, the following could garner votes for Bolsonaro: the Brazil Aid program, the R$ 52 gas voucher, and the promise of credit to help those in debt.
The CNT/MDA survey, released last Monday (21), showed former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) with 42,2% of the votes, against 28% Bolsonaro. The third place went to Ciro Gomes, from the PDT (6,7%).
In the second round of voting, Lula received 53,2% of the vote, compared to Bolsonaro's 35,3%.
