Paraná 247 - The Special Task Force to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) carried out, this Tuesday (5), a search and seizure operation inside the Department of Transport (Deto), an agency linked to the State Secretariat of Administration and Social Security (Seap), in the Palácio das Araucárias, in Curitiba.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraná (MP-PR), documents used to justify an emergency contract for the maintenance of cars in the fleet of Governor Beto Richa (PSDB) were collected.

The company hired was Oficina Providence, from Cambé, in northern Paraná. Investigations carried out by Gaeco in Londrina, also in the north of the state, indicated that Providence was registered in the name of the mechanic Ismar Ieger.

However, prosecutors stated that Ieger is a "front man," and that the owner of the company is Luiz Abi Antoun, a relative of Richa.

According to phone recordings obtained by the Public Prosecutor's Office, in one of the conversations, Ieger agrees with the former director of Deto, Ernani Delicato, on how the proposals should be made. The Public Prosecutor's Office also reported that businessman Paulo Midauar allegedly mediated the contact between Ieger and Deto for the preparation of the bidding process.

In one of the conversations recorded by the prosecution, Midauar mentions the name of the state secretary of Administration and Social Security, Dinorah Nogara.

Paulo Midauar: Do you think it's necessary to stop by tomorrow with him [Ismar Ieger] to talk to you and clear up any doubts?

Ernani Delicato: I think the best way to talk is by phone.
Midauar: That way I can save myself the trip tomorrow with him, otherwise I would only go to give you, Dinorah, and the family a hug, you know.

The lawyers for Luiz Abi Antoun, Ismar Ieger, and Ernani Delicato did not comment on the case, according to G1, which also heard from lawyer Mauricio Carneiro. He defends Paulo Midauar and denied that his client participated in any fraud, and stated that he will prove the businessman's innocence. All four involved are among the seven indicted by the Public Prosecutor's Office for bid rigging and conspiracy. The court accepted the indictment.
