247 - Having left the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) after leading Operation Lava Jato, former prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol will receive R$ 15 per month from Podemos, the party he joined to run for the Chamber of Deputies in 2022.

On Instagram, Dalagnol released a statement of "transparency regarding my public activity" and compared the amount he will receive from the party with what he earned at the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office: "in one year it will correspond to about half of the total I received net as a Federal Prosecutor in 2020, as shown on my pay stubs and on the transparency portal."

Dallagnol's income will be funded by Podemos' electoral fund. In other words, paid for by the Brazilian taxpayer.

While the former prosecutor profits in politics, Brazilians are living through a very serious economic crisis. According to Dieese (Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies), the work of Dallagnol and the other prosecutors in Lava Jato, who had the help of then-judge Sergio Moro - later declared biased by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) - It destroyed 4,4 million jobs and cost 3,6% of GDP.
