In his ruling, Moro criticizes the truckers' strike and calls for 'common sense'.

Due to the strike, Sergio Moro suspended a hearing scheduled for next Monday, the 28th, in which former president FHC would be heard as a witness for former president Lula in the Atibaia farm case; Moro, who had already taken a picture with Pedro Parente, president of Petrobras, took advantage of the ruling to make new political remarks and criticized the truckers' strike; Moro says the road blockades are "excessive" and asks for "common sense" from the protesters, without mentioning the constantly abusive rise in fuel prices.

247 - Sergio Moro suspended a hearing scheduled for next Monday, the 28th, in which former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso was to be heard as a witness for former president Lula in the case of the Atibaia (SP) property.

In the same ruling, Moro, who has already appeared in a photo with Pedro Parente, president of Petrobras, took the opportunity to make new political remarks and criticized the truckers' strike: for him, the road blockades are "excessive." The magistrate also asked the protesters for "common sense," without, however, mentioning the constant rise in fuel prices.

"There is a truck driver strike movement on Brazilian roads. There is a legitimate list of demands from this respectable category, which should be evaluated by the competent authorities. However, the excessive prolongation of the strike, which includes the questionable blocking of highways, has generated serious problems for the general population, mainly affecting the supply of food and fuel in cities," he says.

The reason for suspending the hearing, as Moro alleged, is precisely the strike, which would hinder the movement of witnesses. "Travel between cities and even within them has been hampered, affecting public services and even the administration of justice. Today, operations at the Federal Court in Curitiba have been canceled, even though internal work by the staff is intense," he says.
