Chambers want a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) into the crisis in the Richa government.

State deputies are being pressured by several city councils to create a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate the indebtedness of the state of Paraná; various entities from the interior are also mobilized and have already drafted a document to the parliamentarians and Governor Beto Richa arguing that the financial crisis should be investigated.

esmaelmorais.com.br - Several municipal councils in the state are pressing state representatives to establish a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) upon the return from the Legislative Assembly's recess, to investigate the crisis and indebtedness of Paraná.

Yesterday (21), for example, there was a heated exchange at the legislative session in Londrina. The meeting was called to discuss support for striking public servants. Union leaders went after federal deputy Alex Canziani (PTB), demanding a position from him regarding the defaults of the Beto Richa (PSDB) government.

“We want federal deputies to commit to supporting us in this movement to prevent the government from getting its hands on the R$ 8 billion to remedy the crisis in the state that it itself bankrupted,” explained Arnaldo Vicente, one of the directors of APP-Sindicato and the Public Servants Forum.

According to reporter Micaela Orikasa, from the Folha de Londrina newspaperThe meeting was coordinated by councilwomen Lenir de Assis (PT) and Elza Correia (PMDB) and was attended by council members, state representative Tercílio Turini (PPS), and federal representatives Alex Canziani (PTB), Marcelo Belinati (PP), and Enio Verri (PT) from Maringá.

State Representative Tiago Amaral (PSB) did not attend, citing another commitment, as did Cobra Repórter (PSC), who communicated his absence by telephone. Federal Representative Luiz Carlos Hauly (PSDB) also did not appear due to his schedule.

Several entities from Londrina, including APP-Sindicato, Assuel, the Center for Human Rights (CDH), municipal councils for Culture, People with Disabilities and Social Assistance, the Archdiocese, and Sindipol, drafted a document that will be sent this week to the Assembly — and to the Beto Richa government — defending an investigation into the financial crisis plaguing Paraná.

The city council of Colombo, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, unanimously approved a motion two weeks ago supporting striking educators and public servants. This week, the municipal legislature is expected to present a new motion in support of the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) investigating the disappearance of state treasury funds.
