Zema honors Temer, who betrayed Dilma, and Moro, who betrayed Brazil, with the Inconfidência Medal.
The Governor of Minas Gerais will honor two of the greatest traitors in the country's recent history.
247 - The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema (Novo), published the list of 172 honorees of the Inconfidência in 2023 in the Official Gazette on Wednesday (19). The ceremony will take place on Friday (21), on the Tiradentes holiday, in Ouro Preto (MG).
Among the honors distributed by the Minas Gerais government are the Grand Medal, the Medal of Honor, and the Medal of Inconfidência. Former usurper of the Presidency of the Republic Michel Temer (MDB) will be awarded the Grand Collar, the highest distinction, which is granted only to heads of state, heads of government, and leaders of the other branches of the Union.
The list of honorees includes parliamentarians, jurists, journalists, artists, and institutions. Among this year's honorees is the former biased judge and senator Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR).
Temer and Moro are two traitors to Brazil. The first betrayed former President Dilma Rousseff (PT) and the political and economic plan that the people had agreed to at the polls in 2014, orchestrating a coup against the then-president. Once in power, in 2016, he implemented the neoliberal shock in the Brazilian economy. Moro, on the other hand, used the Judiciary to destroy the economy, bankrupting several Brazilian engineering companies. While still a judge, but already in the political arena, he persecuted adversaries, most notably President Lula (PT). Moro imprisoned Lula, who was the favorite to win the 2018 elections, and opened the doors for Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) rise to the Presidency.
