247 - The governor of Rio de Janeiro, Wilson Witzel (PSC), signed a decree this Friday (13) with strong measures to combat the coronavirus. Among them are the suspension of public events and the anticipation of school holidays - public and private schools.
"Public and private schools will bring forward the holidays so that we can avoid a rapid spread of the virus," Witzel said in a video announcing the measures adopted.
The early vacation will be for 15 days, starting on Monday (16). After this period, the decision will be reassessed.
