247 - The government of São Paulo, led by João Doria (PSDB), released on Tuesday (5) the rules on the mandatory use of protective masks during the new coronavirus pandemic.
According to the regulations, residents of São Paulo will be required to wear masks in open and public spaces. The protective equipment will also be mandatory in establishments considered essential by the government, such as butcher shops, supermarkets, banks, bakeries, lottery outlets, among others.
"[For anyone] who is walking or traveling or heading to any location in the state," Doria stated at a press conference.
The state of São Paulo has 32.187 confirmed cases and 2.654 deaths caused by the coronavirus.
