He underwent surgery at Hospital Carlos Chagas, but did not survive his injuries.
According to the Military Police (PM), in the early hours of Monday morning, agents from the 9th BPM (Rocha Miranda) began an operation in the Mundial community, in Honório Gurgel, after receiving information about a confrontation between rival criminals. At the beginning of the operation, a man was killed in a confrontation with police officers on Rua Dr. Aerolino de Abreu. A 9mm pistol, a grenade, and a radio transmitter were seized from him.
According to the police, around 7:30 am, a team of officers searching the area clashed with armed criminals. According to the police, the man who shot the officer was killed at the scene, and an AK-47 rifle and an unquantified amount of narcotics were seized from him. Two criminals were arrested.
The forensics team from the Homicide Division (DH) was called to the scene. The operation is ongoing and will be documented at the DH.
