Website facilitates accommodation during Rio+20.
HospedaRio was launched this Friday by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall; home-based accommodations can be reserved and offered with the help of a program accessed via the Internet.
Stephania Mello_247 - The new website was launched by RioTur, the municipal public tourism company, on the afternoon of this Friday (18). Following the path of modernity and the facilities offered by the world wide web, the program will make it possible to offer vacancies in homes as well as search for accommodations. The first international event to utilize the new form of accommodation is Rio+20, which takes place in the city between June 13 and 22, at RioCentro, in the west of the municipality. The new tool will continue to function for other events.
Those who will host tourists in their homes will have to meet minimum requirements and choose between two companies that will be responsible for the documentation and quality of the accommodations offered. RioTur will validate the approval. Candidates for hosts can find registration information on the website itself, under the "Host Guide" icon.
Those seeking vacation rental options will find information in two languages, English and Spanish. In addition to houses, rental networks offering vacation homes and apartments will also be listed.
