RJ: PCdoB considers abandoning Lindberg for Garotinho.

247 Senator Lindberg Farias, the PT candidate for governor of Rio de Janeiro, is failing to gain traction in the polls and could lose his first major ally.

Former governor Anthony Garotinho (PR) leads the race for governor of Rio de Janeiro with 25% of voting intentions, according to a new Datafolha poll released this Friday (15).

In the previous survey, Garotinho appeared with 24%. In second place, with 18%, is Senator Marcelo Crivella (PRB), who, due to the margin of error of three percentage points more or less, is technically tied with Governor Luiz Fernando Pezão (PMDB), who had 16%. Crivella fell six percentage points compared to the last survey, while Pezão rose two.

In fourth place in the race is Lindberg (PT), with the same 12% of voting intentions as in the previous poll. Tarcisio Motta (PSOL), Dayse Oliveira (PSTU), and Ney Nunes (PCB) each have 1%. Blank and null votes totaled 17%, and another 10% did not know or did not give an opinion. In a second-round scenario between Garotinho and Crivella, the senator leads with 44%, while the former governor appears with 32%.
