New Year's Eve celebrations in Cabo Frio will honor victims of Covid-19.

Business owners will finance the fireworks display.

Brazil Agency -  The city of Cabo Frio, in the Lagos Region, defined the actions that will be carried out on New Year's Eve at Praia do Forte, the main beach in the region, and said that the New Year's Eve celebration will be marked by a tribute to the victims of Covid-19.

According to José Bonifácio, the idea is for the tribute to involve the public present at Praia do Forte. “Two minutes before midnight, we will turn off the lights on the Praia do Forte beachfront and, using cell phone flashlights, we will create an illumination to honor all those who died from COVID-19 worldwide,” explained the mayor.

But I received support from the business owners who will be staging a new version of Cabofolia after Easter.
