Renovation of the Anhangabaú Valley in São Paulo sparks debate on social media.
Internet users are comparing the area to previous years and criticizing the excessive use of concrete and lack of green spaces in the new project.
247 Internet users took to Twitter to condemn the revitalization of the Anhangabaú Valley in downtown São Paulo, which has already cost almost R$ 14 million more than the R$ 80 million initially planned by the São Paulo City Hall, led by Bruno Covas (PSDB).
The project, announced for June, went through seven contract amendments, which would increase the total budget to over R$ 93,8 million. The revitalization is expected to be completed in September.
