PSDB and PSD are negotiating a single ticket in Rio.

PSDB and PSD have opened negotiations in Rio to form an alliance in the mayoral race. However, both the PSDB candidate, Carlos Osorio, and the PSD candidate, Indio da Costa, refuse to be vice-mayor on the ticket; Osorio has already been officially nominated as his party's candidate; PSDB leaders say the objective is to form "a new political axis in Rio" and stated that Indio is isolated; the PSD candidate was betting on a coalition with the PR, but the party is facing an impasse.

Rio 247 - PSDB and PSD have opened negotiations in Rio to form an alliance in the mayoral race. However, both the PSDB candidate, Carlos Osorio, and the PSD candidate, Indio da Costa, refuse to be vice-mayor on the ticket. Osorio has already been officially nominated as his party's candidate.

PSDB leaders say the goal is to form "a new political axis in Rio" and stated that Indio is isolated. The PSD candidate was counting on a coalition with the PR, but the party is facing a deadlock.

The president of the municipal board of the Republican Party, federal deputy Clarissa Garotinho, wants an alliance with Marcelo Crivella, of the PRB. "Our electorate identifies more with Crivella. And this is going to be a difficult election, because of the change in rules, nobody wants a candidate that you have to push," said Clarissa.

A potential agreement between PSDB and PSD would increase the chances of the ticket attracting PSB, whose support has become sought after Senator Romário withdrew from the executive race. The PSB is also in talks with the pre-candidates from PRB, Marcelo Crivella, and Rede, Alessandro Molon. "If this ticket consolidates, it would be an excellent alternative," said the regional president of PSB, federal deputy Hugo Leal, to Globo.

Osorio denied that PSDB and PSB are in talks to form a single ticket with PSD. "That hasn't been discussed yet. Both PSDB and PSD are in talks with PSB. Given this triangulation, it could lead to further discussions. But today, the conversation is between PSDB and PSB, and PSD and PSB," he said.

Indio said he is better positioned in the polls he commissioned. Therefore, he would accept an agreement as long as he was at the top of the ticket. "I think an alliance in this field is very important, but it has to have electoral viability."
