Brazilian Federal Police arrest suspects accused of plotting the assassination of officials; Moro is believed to be among the targets.

247 - The Federal Police (PF) in Campinas (SP) arrested, on the morning of this Wednesday (22), at least nine people suspected of belonging to a criminal faction that planned the death of public agents and authorities, including Senator Sérgio Moro (União Brasil-PR). 

Federal police are executing 11 arrest warrants and 24 search and seizure warrants in at least four states (Rondônia, Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, and São Paulo) and the Federal District. Most of the targets are reportedly in the Campinas region, according to g1 Campinas.

Moro announced that he will make a statement about the case this afternoon on the Senate floor. 

Operation Sequaz was also praised by him on Twitter. According to him, the criminal group in question would be the PCC, some of whose leaders were transferred to federal prisons during his tenure as Minister of Justice. 

According to the Federal Police, two arrest warrants had not yet been served by early afternoon on Wednesday.
