Brazilian Federal Police arrest former Petroquisa director in the 52nd phase of Operation Lava Jato.
The former Director of New Business at Petroquisa, Djalma Rodrigues de Souza, is one of the targets of the 11 court orders served by police in the 52nd phase of Operation Lava Jato, to expand investigations into suspected crimes committed against subsidiaries of the state-owned oil company, which, according to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, is the target of the embezzlement of billions of reais.

The former director of New Business at Petroquisa, Djalma Rodrigues de Souza, was arrested this Thursday (21), as a preventive measure. Souza is one of the targets of the 11 judicial warrants served by federal police during the 52nd phase of Operation Lava Jato, launched this morning to expand investigations into suspected crimes committed against the subsidiaries of the state-owned oil company, which is the target of the diversion of billions of reais, according to the MPF.
Contacted by Agência Brasil, lawyer Gentil Ferreira Neto confirmed that his client was arrested in the city of Rio de Janeiro, where Souza resides. Claiming he had not yet had access to the case files, the lawyer chose not to comment on the preventive detention.
