The Federal Police seized R$ 90 attributed to the Secretary of Metropolitan Transportation for the state of São Paulo, Alexandre Baldy, who was temporarily arrested.
247 - The Federal Police seized, on the morning of this Thursday (6), R$ 90 thousand kept in two safes in a house in Lago Sul, a prime area of Brasília (DF). The money is attributed to Alexandre Baldy, state secretary of Metropolitan Transport of São Paulo, of the government of João Doria (PSDB).
The secretary was temporarily arrested. on suspicion of fraud in the health sector in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The arrest, search and seizure warrants were issued by federal judge Marcelo Bretas, who presides over the Lava Jato Operation cases in Rio.
The secretary served as a federal deputy for Goiás and as Minister of Cities in Michel Temer's government. According to investigations, Baldy used these last two positions to broker contracts, from which he would receive a percentage.
In addition to São Paulo and the Federal District, police also executed warrants in Petrópolis (RJ) and Goiânia (GO). In total, three people were arrested, including a researcher from Fiocruz, Guilherme Franco Netto.
