Rio de Janeiro - Production at the Coking Unit of the Duque de Caxias Refinery (Reduc), in Baixada Fluminense, was interrupted on Saturday night (4) after a fire at the site. The information comes from Petrobras, which has formed a commission to investigate the causes.
In a statement, the company reported that the fire was confined to a specific piece of equipment and that there were no victims or environmental damage. Petrobras also stated that all safety systems and procedures functioned as planned and the Coking Plant is preserved.
Petrobras also said that it is keeping the relevant authorities informed about the progress of the work.
