Paulo Galo, leader of the motorcycle couriers, denounces that he was tortured by police officers inside a police station.

"You don't like burning things? Make the L now!", one of the police officers allegedly said while assaulting Paulo Roberto da Silva Lima, also known as Paulo Galo.

247 - Paulo Roberto da Silva Lima, leader of the motorcycle delivery drivers and the movement against precarious work and the gig economy, denounced that he was beaten by military police officers.

In a post made on his Instagram profile this Saturday (4), Paulo Galo, as he is known, claims to have been tortured by PMs after being approached two weeks ago.

He posted images showing numerous injuries, including one injured arm, as well as a bruised mouth and fingers on one hand.

He recounts being taken to a police station where he was allegedly beaten and burned by officers who questioned him: "You don't like burning things? Make the 'L' sign now!"

Galo led a movement that set fire to the statue of the bandeirante Borba Gato on July 24, 2021, in São Paulo.
