Paes declares his vote for André Ceciliano: “The strongest and most articulate politician in Rio” (video)
"André Ceciliano has what the state of Rio needs in Brasília, which is the ability, knowledge, and political skills," said the mayor of Rio de Janeiro.
Power Agenda The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, declared that he will vote for André Ceciliano, from the Federation of Hope (PT/PCdoB/PV), during an event in Realengo, in the West Zone, this Saturday (17), in support of the candidacies of Guilherme Schleder, for state deputy, and Pedro Paulo (PSD), candidate for re-election as federal deputy.
"We need to elect someone who, when they arrive in Brasília, has the stature, political clout, and the ability to bring things to Rio de Janeiro. And that guy's name is André Ceciliano. And he'll be our senator!"
Eduardo Paes also highlighted the candidate's political maneuvering when mentioning the support of Felipe Boró, a city councilor from the West Zone.
– Felipe Boró decided to support for the senate the guy who is currently the most articulate and strongest politician we have in the state of Rio de Janeiro, that guy is André Ceciliano.
Federal Deputy Pedro Paulo also asked for votes for André Ceciliano: – This is Eduardo Paes' vote, this is Pedro Paulo's vote, this will be Guilherme's vote. We know that the fight in the Chamber is already difficult, but in the Senate it's extremely tough. We can't have just any senator. The Senate is basically about the ability to build alliances. It's about the politician who, when they go to the podium, people respect, when they give the floor, people trust, and who thinks big. And who, above all, knows every corner of this state and knows the politics of the state of Rio de Janeiro. This is not a place for amateurs, this place is for professionals.
In late August, Eduardo Paes appeared on the stage twice alongside André Ceciliano. He referred to the candidate as "our future senator of the Republic," highlighting André's ability to communicate effectively, while also reinforcing the experience and strong relationship the president of the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly (Alerj) has with the state's mayors.
"André Ceciliano has what the state of Rio needs in Brasília, which is the capacity, knowledge, and sufficient political skill to understand that the role of a senator is to defend the state," said Eduardo Paes.
