Tweeting didn't help; Thor is indicted for murder.

The court ordered the suspension of his driver's license; days before the police chief delivered the conclusion of the investigation to the Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office, he remained silent on social media, unlike what he did after the accident that killed truck driver's assistant Wanderson Pereira dos Santos in March; on Thursday afternoon, he handed over his driver's license to the Rio de Janeiro Department of Motor Vehicles (Detran-RJ).

Stephania Mello_247 Hours after receiving a complaint from the Public Prosecutor's Office to judge Thor Batista's guilt in the hit-and-run death of truck driver's assistant Wanderson Pereira dos Santos on March 17th, the court ordered the suspension of the National Driver's License of the son of billionaire Eike Batista for one year. He has five business days to present the document in court and ten days to appeal the decision. The court also accepted the Public Prosecutor's complaint requesting a trial for manslaughter, without intent to kill. Not wanting to lose his good-guy image, on Thursday afternoon, Thor complied with the court order and personally handed over his driver's license to the Rio de Janeiro Department of Motor Vehicles (Detran).

Judge Daniela Barbosa Assumpção de Souza, of the 2nd Criminal Court of the Duque de Caxias Forum, in the Baixada Fluminense region, in addition to the reported incident, considered the eleven traffic violations he has accumulated on his license, nine of which were for speeding, and a further violation when he drove his red Ferrari without a front license plate on the streets of Barra da Tijuca on May 06th.

Days before Detective Mario Roberto Arruda, from the 61st Precinct in Xerém, concluded the investigation that he would hand over to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro, the son of billionaire Eike Batista remained silent on social media. His father also did not defend him this time. In the last tweet from @Thor631, he talks about... report from the G1 portal which shows the arrest of a woman in Espírito Santo, who was arrested for running over and killing a cyclist. It says "@AnnaVelasco she was drunk (I took a breathalyzer test and it was 0,0, I have the receipt), she doesn't have a driver's license (mine is still valid until the day ->)," said Thor on May 10th.

It also says, "@AnnaVelasco she's drunk (I took a breathalyzer test and it was 0), she doesn't have a driver's license (I have fines but I wasn't notified by the DETRAN, my license >)." In the last tweet, he mocks the slowness of the Detran-RJ (Rio de Janeiro's traffic department).

"@AnnaVelasco The DETRAN (Department of Motor Vehicles) will initiate a process and suspend her driver's license (this hasn't happened yet). She tried to flee (I provided assistance)." she claimed.

After this, not another comment. Not on Facebook, not on Twitter. The father, Eike, who the day after the hit-and-run loudly defended his son, didn't say a word about the accusation. They left the solution to the most expensive criminal lawyer in the country.

Lawyers Marcio Thomas Bastos and Celso Vilardi stated last Wednesday (16) that the criminal complaint is a mistake and that they will prove Thor's innocence.

Whistleblowing

Last Monday (14), delegate Arruda delivered to the Public Ministry the inquiry that indicted the businessman for culpable homicide for the hit-and-run and death of Wanderson. For the delegate responsible for conducting the case, he was driving recklessly, at 135 km/h when the car he was driving hit the truck helper.

The accident occurred on the Washington Luís Highway, near Xerém, on March 17th of this year. The victim's body was thrown 65 meters from the point of impact due to the force of the collision with Thor's McLaren. The forensic report showing the car's speed is also being contested by the defense.
