Federal prosecutors are demanding an explanation from the São Paulo city government after the suspension of legal abortion services at a hospital.
The Vila Nova Cachoeirinha Maternity Hospital is one of the main healthcare facilities that performs the procedure.
Capital letter - The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office set a 10-day deadline this Thursday (11) for the city of São Paulo to clarify the suspension of services for legal abortion at the Vila Nova Cachoeirinha Maternity Hospital, one of the main health units to perform the procedure. The request was sent to the Health Department of the capital.
The agency specifically demanded an explanation of the reasons that led Ricardo Nunes' (MDB) administration to interrupt the service and keep it unavailable at the hospital since last month.
