Fourth victim dies in Filé Carioca explosion.

Jos Roberto Farias, a kitchen assistant at the establishment, was hospitalized at Souza Aguiar Hospital; two other victims of the explosion remain hospitalized in serious condition; the manager and the company that supplied the gas cylinders will give statements.

Rio247_ José Roberto Farias, 28, died this Wednesday (19), a victim of the explosion at the Filé Carioca restaurant, in Praça Tiradentes, in downtown Rio. A kitchen assistant at the establishment, hospitalized in serious condition at the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital, he is the fourth person to die in the tragedy that also left 16 injured.

Waitress Daniele Cristina Pereira, 18, who is at Souza Aguiar Hospital, and Higídio da Costa Neto, 46, hospitalized at Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital in the southern zone, remain in serious condition with fractures and head trauma.

The restaurant manager and brother of the owner, Jorge Luiz de Souza, 46, was discharged from the hospital after seven days at Souza Aguiar and will give a statement to the head of the Mem da Sá police station (5th DP), who is responsible for the investigation. Those responsible for the company that supplied gas cylinders to the restaurant will also be questioned.
