Maricá attracts investors' attention on the first day of the world's largest real estate fair.
More than 100 people learned about the municipality's projects, the only one in the Americas to participate in the event with its own booth.
247 - The Maricá stand at Mipim 2025, considered the main real estate fair in the world, received more than 100 visitors on the first day – mostly potential investors – interested in learning about the projects presented by the city. The event started on Tuesday (11) and continues until Friday (15), in Cannes, France.
Maricá is the only city in the entire American continent to participate in MIPIM 2025 with its own booth. The goal is to showcase to the world projects focused on socio-economic and environmental development that will be implemented in the municipality. On display at the fair are Mumbuca Verde, an environmental credit market that operates through the sale of Sustainability Credit Units (UCS), the Maricá Hotel Complex in Araçatiba, and the Samba, Futebol e Caipirinha Resort Complex.
“We need to engage in dialogue with investors, and this is the right place. We are participating in business roundtables, we have meetings scheduled. It's a little different from the tourism fairs we're used to attending. Mipim is a fair focused on creating this relationship with investors,” explained the Secretary of Tourism, Commerce, Industry and Domestic Market, José Alexandre Almeida.
The President of the Municipal Tourism and Culture Company, Antonio Grassi, emphasized the importance of the city's participation in international fairs. “We are seeing the importance of Maricá appearing in this universe of opportunities, meetings, partnerships, and business possibilities. This interaction, the possibilities for partnerships, dialogues, and opportunities that we find are fundamental. Maricá is part of a context where countries and cities from all over the world meet in this fantastic universe,” he assessed.
Also present at the fair were the Secretary of Government, Arlen Pereira; the Secretary of Social Communication, Danielle Oliveira; the Secretary of International Relations, Jorge Castor; and State Representative Renato Machado.
Investors - Throughout the first day of the fair, numerous visitors sought information about opportunities in Maricá. The Director of Management and Participation at the Maricá Development Company (Codemar), Cristiano Brochier, assessed the first day of Mipim as positive.
“The first day was great, the overall result is very positive. We held six meetings today, all with groups of investors who tend to bet on our projects – both those we brought to present during Mipim, and other projects that have already been inquiring about partnerships. The expectation this year is very positive. We have other meetings scheduled for tomorrow. Maricá will make a great impression at the fair,” he believes.
One of the meetings held was with Thomaz Klingl, Business Development Specialist at Atom Group, a company specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI). “The meeting was great. We see many possibilities for working with Maricá towards an innovative future, truly transforming the city in various sectors. Atom Group is very happy to be in contact with the city. We seek to bring our AI solutions and want to transform the future of sports and the arts in Maricá, bringing many innovations,” he said.
