Lula has a 38% approval rating and a 58% disapproval rating among residents of São Paulo, according to Paraná Pesquisas.

The survey polled 1.205 voters in the city of São Paulo and has a margin of error of 2,9 percentage points, plus or minus.

247 - More than half of the residents of the city of São Paulo disapprove of the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), according to a survey by the Paraná Pesquisas institute released this Tuesday (18). According to the CNN BrazilAccording to the research, 58,1% of São Paulo residents disapprove of the federal government, while 38,2% approve. Another 3,7% did not know or preferred not to comment.

The numbers indicate a worsening of Lula's approval rating among São Paulo residents compared to the institute's last survey, conducted in September 2024. At that time, the president had a 51,1% approval rating and a 46% disapproval rating. Now, the drop in approval was 12,9 percentage points, while disapproval increased by 12,1 points.

In addition to overall approval, the institute also asked respondents how they rate Lula's administration. Only 26% consider the administration excellent or good, while 23,8% rate it as average. Meanwhile, 48,5% rate the federal government as bad or terrible. Another 1,7% did not know or did not give an opinion.

The survey polled 1.205 voters in the city of São Paulo between March 9 and 13, 2025. The margin of error is 2,9 percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level.
