Lindbergh: The Union's 2018 education budget is "devastating".

This Wednesday (11), in the Plenary, he predicted a collapse, mainly in federal universities and institutes.

He highlighted that in the area of ​​science and technology, the 2015 budget, which was R$ 5,8 billion, will be only R$ 1,3 billion next year. For higher education, which received R$ 13 billion in 2015, it will be R$ 5,4 billion in 2018.

"Our universities won't be able to function next year. You know the investment budget line? It drops to zero! Not a single real for investment. This is all a result of this government's choices and the Constitutional Amendment on the Spending Cap," he lamented.

The congressman mentioned a seminar on education, organized by the PT (Workers' Party) caucus in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies and by the Perseu Abramo Foundation. Lindbergh also stated that Lula has been persecuted, not only for the good government he led, but mainly because of his strong performance in election polls.
