Young man set on fire in the middle of the street in Belo Horizonte.

247 - The Military Police (PM) identified and arrested a 38-year-old man suspected of setting another young man on fire in the middle of the street in Belo Horizonte. The crime occurred in the early hours of Wednesday (9). The victim suffered burns to 20% of his body and remains hospitalized at Hospital João XXIII. The crime was allegedly motivated by previous fights between the two. The Civil Police are investigating the case. The information is from the Portal Estado de Minas;

According to the police, the victim's father called to report that his son, who is a drug addict and user, had his body burned and that it was possibly a criminal act.

He alerted the military police at the João XXIII Hospital. According to the officers who made contact, someone had poured flammable liquid on the victim and then set him on fire. 

A camera from the Olho Vivo surveillance system captured the moment the young man was attacked. The Military Police also verified that the perpetrator and victim knew each other and had even sat together at the door of a snack bar across the street. 

The victim then moved towards the door of a drugstore and, some time later, the perpetrator followed her to attack her. The man fled up Galba Veloso Street, towards Pouso Alegre Street. He was located by the police yesterday.
