Young man shot during police operation in Manguinhos, Rio de Janeiro; friends and relatives protest: "good kid"

The victim's sister says, "He was leaving home for work. Then a shooting happened, and he ran, and was hit by a stray bullet."

247 - Young Marlon Anderson Cândido, 23, was shot during a Military Police operation in the CCPL community, in Manguinhos, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. He was taken to the Getúlio Vargas Hospital, in Penha, and is under custody. 

Police claim the young man is involved in crime, but his family and friends say he is innocent. According to information posted on social media, "police framed him with drugs and weapons."

"Good boy delivering water from the community," says a post on Twitter, according to which Marlon was allegedly "shot by police officers inside the armored vehicle." 

According to Marlon's sister, Taiane Cândido da Silva, she told... g1"He was leaving home to go to work. Then a shootout happened, and he ran, and was hit by a stray bullet."
