Influencer Tiago Toguro indicted for manslaughter in the death of a motorcyclist.
Two other people were indicted for perjury in the case.
247 - The Civil Police of the state of Rio de Janeiro indicted last Thursday (4), for culpable homicide, when there is no intention to kill, the digital influencer Tiago Ribeiro de Lima, better known as Tiago Toguro, 34 years old. The reason was the hit-and-run that ended with the death of motorcyclist Jonny Vieira da Silva, 30 years old, in March, at one of the exits of Linha Amarela, in Vila do João, Bonsucesso neighborhood, in the North Zone of the municipality of Rio. Two other people were indicted for false testimony in the case.
According to the G1 portalThe 2nd Territorial Criminal Investigation Prosecutor's Office for the Ilha do Governador and Bonsucesso area returned the inquiry to the 21st Police Precinct for further investigation. The inquiry was signed by the precinct's head, Delegate Cláudio Vieira de Campos.
The artist was heading to the city of São Paulo when, according to witnesses, he took the wrong turn and tried to reverse, hitting Silva. He stated that the motorcyclist "was speeding" and that he was responsible for the collision.
In his testimony, Toguro stated that, "around 1:40 am he was driving on the Yellow Line, towards Fundão, after exit 9, in Bonsucesso, in a Land Rover Evoque, at low speed." According to Tiago, "when he looked in his side mirror he could see a motorcycle coming at high speed."
