247 - PDT presidential candidate Ciro Gomes took part in a meeting with business leaders at the Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, this Wednesday (31).
At the end of his speech, Ciro made a prejudiced statement against residents of favelas. "This is a rally for prepared people, imagine trying to explain this in the favela," said the PDT member, questioning whether residents of these communities would understand his economic proposals.

A survey by Quaest showed that, according to 48% of Ciro Gomes' (PDT) supporters, the presidential candidate should support the PT's presidential candidate, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), under whom he served as minister. Another 20% of Ciro's supporters prefer that the former governor of Ceará support Jair Bolsonaro (PL). For 25%, Ciro should remain neutral. The PDT candidate has 8% of the total voting intentions in the first round, now two percentage points above the level of two weeks ago.
According to research by Quaest, commissioned by Genial bank, the Former president Lula remains in first place, with 44% of the votes.Bolsonaro came in second (32%) and Ciro in third.
