Security cameras at Galeão Airport in Rio de Janeiro filmed businessman Eike Batista boarding a flight to New York last Tuesday, the 24th; he took American Airlines flight number 974 at 11:30 am; a target of Operation Efficiency, Eike is considered a fugitive and wanted by Interpol; authorities believe he may have fled to Germany.

Security cameras at Tom Jobim International Airport (Galeão) in Rio de Janeiro filmed the businessman in the boarding area. He boarded American Airlines flight number 974 at 11:30 AM.
Two days later, the Federal Police launched Operation Efficiency and attempted to execute an arrest warrant against him, but did not find him at home. The Federal Police suspect that Eike traveled using a German passport – the businessman is the son of a German mother and has dual citizenship.
Eike is considered a fugitive and is wanted by Interpol.
